MARCH 2012 ORCCON BATTLE FOR FIRE KEEP FORTRESS PICS
     Thank you to everyone that came out for the OrcCon Show in Los Angeles, CA. this past Presidents Day Weekend.  A special thanks to David W. for all of his hard work on the amazing gaming table hosting the Rusted Heroes Battle For Fire Keep Fortress games.

RUSTED HEROES AT THE ORCCON SHOW THIS
PRESIDENTS DAY WEEKEND FEB. 17th to 19th 2012!
    

     As war rages on across the lands the Knights of the Rose have reluctantly agreed to an unlikely alliance with the savages from the north, the Norse Invaders.  With these combined forces they just might be strong enough to defeat Duke Rathor and his Dragon Knight Army.  With the battle now at the doorsteps of Duke Rathor’s strong hold, Fire Keep Fortress.  Victory is a possibility for the combined allies if the alliance will hold.  But grave news has been received that Duke Rathor has managed to capture Princess Ellsbeth along with some other heroes and now holds them captive within Fire Keep Fortress.

     With Sir Bailentine leading a small group of brave knights and Lord Varghoss not to be left out has volunteered to join in on the expedition along with some of his trusted Norse Warrior, a few Mercenaries, and Ancients.  They will attempt to infiltrate Fire Keep Fortress and rescue the Princess and other heroes!

- Will the alliance hold long enough to defeat the Dragon Knight Army?

- Will Lord Varghoss keep the alliance or is this the perfect opportunity to betray Sir Bailentine and the Knights of the Rose?

- Can they rescue the Princess Ellsbeth and any other captured heroes before time runs out?

AUGUST 2011 NEW CHARACTER CARDS HAVE ARRIVED
     We have the new character cards for our next two releases.  RHM2010 The Black Knight - Dragon Knights and RHM3007 Brahn Life Cleaver - Norse Invaders.

     These two miniatures  were available as pre-releases at the last show so if you did purchase the mini and would still like the character cards please email us at support@rustedheroes.com and please include your mailing address and we'll have the cards sent off to your for free once we've verified your order.

AUGUST 2011 GATEWAY SHOW COMING UP
     The final show of the year for us is coming up.  Gateway 2011 Show is this Labor Day Weekend September 2nd - 5th.

     We're going to be hosting a six hour Rusted Heroes event on Saturday Sept. 3rd with an all new 4' x 4' ft. gaming table created by David W.  So if you get a chance to game on it be sure to thank him for all of his hard work. 

     This new gaming table will consist of four 2' x 2' ft. sections progressively linked together with each battle having key objectives for both sides which will enhance or hinder your faction in the following battle depending on if you were victorious or not.  So bring your painted minis and character cards and be ready to throw down.

     If you're new to Rusted Heroes you'll be able to jump right in the battle no matter where it's at.  We will have extra minis and characters cards on hand.

     We're going to try and have both the character cards for the upcoming "Black Knight" - Dragon Knights and "Brahn Life Cleaver" - Norse Invaders on hand if they get back from the printers on time.

JUNE 2011 GAMEX SHOW PICS
     The pics from the Gamex 2011 Show are now up in the "Events/Shows" section.

     Thank you to the Hong Kong Cavalier team for hosting the demo events.  A special thanks to Marc V. and David W. for helping out with the demos events on Saturday, you guys saved the day.

     Also we wanted to thank all of the attendees that had a chance to take a demo of our Rusted Heroes game and to those that picked up our minis, thanks again everyone and see you in September.

     Now that we've had a chance to demo Rusted Heroes at a couple of the Los Angeles Shows this year we'll be hosting an event at the next show Gateway on Labor Day Weekend Sept. 2nd - 5th later this year on our larger 4ft. x 4ft. gaming table.  So be sure to bring your warbands.  There will be plenty of carnage... and no mercy for the weak!  We will post details of the event here once everything is worked out.
 
MAY 2011 PREVIEW
     Here's a preview of the final green of the upcoming RHM2010 "The Black Knight".  His allegiance is with the Dragon Knights... finally more evil guys.  He was sculpted by the ever talented Tom Mason.

     The Black Knight will be supplied with both his war-spear and broad sword as an optional weapon.  We also had Tom sculpt an extra hilt bit to fit in the top of his scabbard for those war-spear wielding Black Knights.  Check out the final tabbed green to see this added bit.

MARCH 2011 NEW RELEASE
     The March new release is now available and shipping. This months new release is our largest miniature to date... RHM5005 Drekinn, Chthonic 6-Headed Hydra (x1 fig) for the Ancient.

     This box set includes Drekinn and it's character card.  The front of the box artwork also includes additional rules for Drekinn so hang onto that too.

MARCH 2011 FIRST WAVE OF HYDRA CASTINGS ARRIVE
     The first wave of resin castings of our new RHM5005 "Drekinn, Chthonic 6-Headed Hydra" for the Ancients has just arrived.
 

     This first shipment is almost sold out but we may still have a few available through Fantization Miniatures.  We'll have a second shipment coming in about three weeks.

     The next stage is packaging once the character card arrives from the printer which should be 03/18/11.  They may start shipping late Friday afternoon but more then likely they'll be shipping on Monday 03/21/11.

     We are now taking orders through Fantization Miniatures and other fine retailers on Drekinn don't miss out.

FEBRUARY 2011 WE ARE ATTENDING THE ORCCON SHOW
          It's short notice for us and for everyone else but we're going to be attending the OrcCon Game Convention this Presidents Day Weekend, February 18th through the 21st.

JANUARY 2011 ANNOUNCEMENT
    
     The Official Rusted Heroes Forum is now live.  We've been sitting on this project for quite a while now and it just really became time to launch it based on customer demands.

     We'll be tweaking things a bit as time goes on but currently all of the categories are pretty much set.  One category we may be adding is a "Player/Store Finder" where you can post your contact info or look for contact info on local players and/or stores that run Rusted Heroes games regularly.

     So please come by and join the discussions on all things Rusted Heroes.  We do require you to become a registered member to post, so join up today.

DECEMBER 2010 PREVIEW
     Arriving this early January 2011 hacking his way into his enemies hearts is RHM3007 "Brahn Life Cleaver, Champion" - Norse Invaders.  

     Brahn Life Cleaver dances his way through his enemies hacking and cutting them down before they even know he is upon them.

DECEMBER 2010 NEW RELEASE
     The December new release is now available and shipping. This months new release is a great support character for the "Norse Invaders"  RHM3006 Rhinah of the Wild, Female Shaman w/ Totem of the Dead (x2 figs).  

     This pack includes Rhinah and her spell effect of the "Totem of the Dead" a Mystical Essence Spell effect.  She summons a Totem of the Dead which causes black billowing smoke to spring forth from the ground and within the smoke it siphons a swirling horror of skulls that shoot out to attack the living enemies of Rhinah.

NOVEMBER 2010 NEW RELEASES
     The October new releases are now available and shipping. These are the first two models with updated character cards that will coincide with our upcoming rule book layout/design hopefully coming out in the second half of 2011.

     These new character cards have the same stats and abilities as the previous cards but now have a new point costs and are dressed up a bit more.  You'll also notice that there's a ranking system now with Gold, Silver, and Copper coins at the Point Cost number.  These colors represent how many of this particular model can be fielded in a particular game.  We will touch on this later when we discuss the character card layout more in depth in the future.

AUGUST 2010 SUMMER CAMPAIGN - "NORSE RAIDING PARTY"

     Here are the pics and brief captions on the first battle of our Summer Campaign.  The first game was "The Norse Raiding Party".  A band of Norse Invaders were to invade a Knights of the Rose City and capture prisoners and locate the cities gold.  If the Norse are successful at this they will have the ability to hire Mercenaries for future battles.

     We have also continued the play-testing on the upcoming RHM1010 "The White Knight" character card which you can see him painted up for this battle.  As well as the upcoming Norse Invader RHM1009 "Rhinah of the Wild, Shaman" scheduled to come out later this year, no mini as of yet for her but we've locked in Patrick Keith for the sculpting of her.  Look for work-in-progress shots of her in late Aug. 2010.

JULY 2010 STUDIO PAINTING

     We have the newly studio painted RHM1005 "Cromby Bil, Fusiler" for the Knights of the Rose.

  The Fusiliers are part of the Guards of the Rose.  The guards make up a good portion of the Knights of the Rose's forces.  Fusiliers are specialized soldiers that are both skilled in martial weapons as will as fire arms.  The guards tend to wear lighter types of armor for firing and reloading quicker during a battle.

JUNE 2010 PLAY TESTING PREVIEW
     We have a bunch of pics of some play testing done on a couple of upcoming miniatures in the works and an upcoming scenario.

     For starters we were play testing the upcoming RHM1010 "The White Knight" character card which you can see an unpainted shot of the actual mini and a new Norse Invader RHM1009 "Rhinah of the Wild, Shaman" scheduled to come out later this year, no mini as of yet for her.

     The final thing we were play testing was a new scenario called "The Rescue".  The basic element in this scenario was to go to a certain numbered location on the board to rescue a peasant then draw a numbered tile and escort him or her to that new numbered location on the game board.  We have some rules set up for the peasants that we will post once the scenario is finalized.  In the mean time enjoy the pictures from the session.

MAY 2010 CHARACTER CARD UPDATE
     The upcoming RHM1006 "Princess Ellsbeth" - Knights of the Rose is almost ready for shipping.  Her character card has been finalized and is off to the printers and should be with us by the end of the week.

     She is the first character to appear with the Royal Blood Line Ability. This Ability allows her to use 1 Action and 1 RBL point to give any one ally within her Command Radius (CR) +1 to any die roll any time prior to rolling. Use 2 Actions and 3 RBL points to give +2 in the same manner. Use 2 Actions to regain 1 RBL point back.

- Inspiring Persona

APRIL 2010 CONCEPT ART
     The White Knight has arrived on the battlefield.  Here is a first look at the concept art for the upcoming RHM1010 White Knight - Knights of the Rose.  Concept art by Clint Cearley.

     He is being sculpted by Bobby Jackson, no WIPs to show at this point but they're coming soon so check back often.  We are currently play testing his Stats and Abilities so nothing has been finalized.  Once they are worked out we will post his point cost and list of Abilities.

MARCH 2010 PRESS RELEASE
     Duke Rathar of the Dragon Knights, Model# RHM2001 has been nominated for the "Miniatures Figure or Line of Figures" category for the Origins 36th Annual Origins Awards.  He will be featured at the upcoming Origins Game Fair.

FEBRUARY 2010 CHARACTER CARDS - REVISED PRINTING
     We have had a hand full of the original character cards reprinted.  Also they are now being printed on baseball card cardstock, so they are about twice as thick and still have that high gloss smooth finish.  The reprinted cards have updated Abilities and Stats.  The new cards now have a version number, I.E. "v.1" which is located in the bottom left corner on the front of each card.  Below is the list of cards that have been reprinted. 

     You can get these updated cards for free by simply sending in a self addressed stamped envelope (SAE) along with your old cards that you want exchanged to the below address.

JANUARY 2010 NEW RELEASE
     Medusa the Gorgon is now available through Fantization Miniatures or through your local game store.  If your store doesn't currently carry the Rusted Heroes product line they can contact their distributor, us directly, or check out our "Where to buy" section of the site.

     RHM5002 "Medusa the Gorgon" is the latest addition for The Ancients Faction. She has two weapon options of the Bow Toxophilite and quiver or a Greek sword and sheath for her belt. Her character card and the first Item Card for Rusted Heroes of the severed head of Medusa are now at the printers.  She is scheduled for a late December 2009 release.  Enjoy!
